Henry David Thoreau: Civil Disobedience

I don't agree with the motto, "That government is best which governs least" because I think that we do need a relatively strong, stable government in order to run a country. I do think, though, that people should be able to govern themselves THROUGH this government. I also don't think that the government is completely corrupt like Mr. Thoreau basically states, although certain parts of it may be and we as a nation need to help to fix that.
